Drawn from the myth of the cornucopia — the ancient emblem of abundance — this sculptural flintware vase by Swedish artist Arthur Percy (1886–1976) embodies a refined interpretation of nourishment and form. The surface, marked by fine crazing and finished in a matte glaze of creamy beige, reveals the quiet tension between fragility and permanence.

Born on the island of Öland, Percy trained in Stockholm and Paris under Henri Matisse before turning toward design. As creative director of Gefle Porcelain Factory from 1923, he became a defining voice of Swedish Grace and modern decorative art, merging classical motifs with the clarity of functional form.

Stamped to the underside with maker’s mark. Presented in good vintage condition, with beautiful crazing that enriches the surface.
