THE GALLERY
Established in 2026, Artefact is a Stockholm-based online gallery devoted to 20th-century design. Spanning Art Deco and mid-century ceramics, lighting, furniture and art, the collection centres on sculptural forms, quiet expression and the character of materials. Selected with an eye for proportion and craftsmanship, each object brings a sense of permanence to interiors, taking on new meaning through use and time.

A shared fascination with the relationship between objects, people and the passage of time lies at the heart of Artefact, founded by Ida Leutz and Björn Foss. We believe that the value of an object extends beyond its original function, shaped by the lives it has touched and the stories it continues to acquire. AUTHENTICITY
Authenticity begins with careful attention. Each piece in the collection is assessed through its marks, materials, construction and proportions, with reference to documented examples and design literature where available. Condition, patina and traces of use are carefully considered, recognising the character and history they lend to each object. Our descriptions reflect what can be established about each object’s origin, maker and period of production, with any uncertainty in attribution clearly stated.
OUR SERVICES
The collection is available for hire by interior designers, architects and creative professionals for client projects, photography, editorial shoots, events and interior staging. Our sourcing service extends beyond the existing collection, identifying distinctive pieces for individual projects and interiors. Each enquiry is approached with attention to period, provenance and the particular requirements of the brief.
