Danish sculptor and silversmith Just Andersen (1884–1943) occupies a central place in Scandinavian design history. Celebrated for his refined, minimalist approach, Andersen worked in pewter, brass, bronze, and disco-metal—an alloy he invented and named after Disko Bay in his native Greenland.
