A spherical vase with an elemental, functionalist form created by Harald Notini (1879-1959) in 1934. Crafted in rich black cryopas glass for Böhlmark’s Lighting Factory, for whom Notini served as creative director from 1916 and throughout his career.

In good vintage condition consistent with age.

Harald Notini counts as one of the most reputable Swedish designers of the 20th Century. His personal expression ranges from the ornate style of Swedish Grace, towards functionalism’s strict form, as well as the much appreciated Swedish Modern Aesthetic of the 1940s and 50s. Notini’s artistic work is represented at the National Gallery of Sweden in Stockholm.
